Various organizations work together to apply quality principles, including performance measurement, public reporting of the results, and constant action to correct deficiencies within the quality landscape of healthcare. The aim of accreditation is to ensure that patients’ needs are being effectively and efficiently met; in addition to achieving & maintaining a quality culture throughout the organization at all times. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: • Define the benefits of quality in performance improvement; • Summarize all tools needed to conduct a proper quality assessment; • Conduct adequate self-assessment to identify the deficiencies and work on processes that will improve performance and prevent potential errors; • Formulate a quality improvement plan; • Design an organization wide strategic plan towards quality culture; • Create quality champions among staff to operate in compliance with evidence-based standards and guidelines.
