Workshop
Neurodevelopment in children consists of several interdependent domains including cognition, sensory-motor and social-emotional. The first 1000 days of life are particularly important because vital development occurs in all neuro-domains. The development of these domains is affected by psychosocial, biological, nutritional and environmental factors, and by genetic inheritance. To a great extent, the early detection and intervention of disturbances in the development of these domains could circumvent unfavorable consequences allowing children to develop optimally and fulfill their potential. Learn the deeper insights of early detection of disturbances in child development and monitoring trends and surveillance during later life and/or in response to an intervention.
